While decidedly less cool than actual submarines, these flexible tools have surfaced here on dry land to better meet subscription and membership demand.
You can now “rollover” FixedPlus subscription packages with a few clicks of a button. Quickly and easily prioritize your subscribers and members—the core patron group for many organizations—to build your audience for the coming season.
Another recent enhancement automates the inclusion of “Add On Package” benefits into the purchase of the main subscription or membership purchase. So you can now, for example, automatically include discount tickets with the purchase of a main package and these benefits can be immediately used online by the patron.
With this new functionality added to an already robust variety of package options, now is a good time for a quick review of the variety of packages available through OvationTix:
FixedPlus Package: This is the most common type of subscription package built in OvationTix. Most “traditional” subscriptions are best built as FixedPlus Packages; this includes packages with a specific and consistent seat across a number of events and that can be “rolled over” into future events or seasons. As its name implies, it also has added features that allow for mid-season or “peel-off” package sales or other configurations that fit into those intermediate cohort of patrons who are more than multi-single ticket buyers but perhaps are not yet full season subscribers or package holders. The original Fixed Packages may be of limited use to some OvationTix partners but when in doubt, use FixedPlus.
Flexible Package/Membership: Also just like its name, this offers the most flexibility—allowing patrons to purchase a number of “passes” that can be used for any number of events you identify. Some OvationTix partners may wish to consider selling these flexible packages as de-facto gift certificates as they are paid for up-front but can be redeemed later. These packages are also the best method by which to attract members who could be casually defined as individuals that want to pay in advance for some subsequent ticket benefit. This benefit might include a discounted ticket, priority access to a series or seating section, and/or tickets they can book at no added cost.
Remember that the launch of Add On Packages allows for you to offer patrons the ability to mix and match benefits by combining different packages and associated benefits. So your packages can now better meet the demands of your various ticket buying constituencies.
