How should your ticketing system strike the balance between ensuring quick, easy online ticket purchases and collecting the information your organization needs to establish and maintain patron relationships?
OvationTix recognizes that you need to know where your patrons are and how to reach them, so we’re updating the way our system collects and stores patron address information. Starting next week, you’ll see changes to the way addresses are collected and displayed in the Box Office, on the Patron Record and on your Customer Ticketing Website. For now, these changes are minor and should not have any affect on your Patron Data.
Patron Records will continue to store multiple address types (Home, Vacation, Office…). Moving forward, you’ll be able to mark which of these is the primary address. This is the address we’ll use when you run a Patron Report. If you don’t set a primary address, we’ll use the Patron’s billing address on file.
If patrons login to your OvationTix Website, they will be able to update their primary address information under “My Account”.
These are the first steps necessary to make address management cleaner and easier for your Box Office, Marketing and Development staff. There’s more to come.
