We would like to introduce Facility Fee: a way to be transparent with your ticket prices while keeping fees separated from the price of your tickets.
Each Series Can Have A Facility Fee
On the left hand navigation of the Series Informaion screen, you’ll see a new link labeled “Facility Fee”.
You can create one facility fee per series/production for any General Admission or Per Seat Reserved Pricing series. You can call it whatever you like “Restoration Fee”, “Facility Fee”, “Rennovation Fee”…. Whatever name you choose will be what patrons see when they purchase tickets. Facility fee is not available for series using legacy reserved seat pricing.
When you create a facility fee for a series, you set the price. You can decide later which tickets in the series will include the fee.
Once a facility fee is created you can go back and change the name or the price. Any tickets bought after you make changes will reflect the new price/name, but tickets purchased before you changed the amount will still reflect the old amount in your reporting and on receipts. If you decide to delete the facility fee from the series, it will be removed from all ticket types.
Once you’ve created a facility fee, you’ll need to decide which ticket types will include the fee. It will not be automatically attached to your ticket types.
You can also chose to add the facility fee to your promotion, private, and coded tickets.
Box Office and OvationTix phone room personnel can see when a ticket type includes a facility fee in the ticket price so that they can inform patrons.
Patrons purchasing tickets with via your OvationTix website will be able to see, during the ticket selection process, when a facility fee is applied.
Facility Fee will be released on Tuesday, May 27th. We’ll be including some short one or two question feedback prompts in the OvationTix backend admin so that you can tell us what you think of this new feature.
