OvationTix partners have long been able to request the placement of pixels on relevant ticketing and fundraising pages to track advertising and fundraising campaign success. Whether these campaigns are run internally, through TheaterMania, or other advertising sources, OvationTix knows that tracking these campaigns is crucial to making smart digital communications decisions in the future.
While pixel capability will continue for several months, OvationTix has recently integrated with Google Tag Manager to provide our partners with a more comprehensive solution for tracking traffic (including purchases and donations) on your ticketing pages, as well as ROI on your campaigns.
Moving forward, Google Tag Manager will become the standard by which you can track traffic and conversions. It is already very popular as it integrates with Google Analytics, which many OvationTix partners currently use to track traffic on their own sites.
Please contact your account executive if you’re interested in getting up and running with Google Tag Manager. All new OvationTix partners will be introduced to this functionality as part of their on-boarding. Meanwhile, if you’re comfortable with your current pixel tracking or do not wish to enable this type of tracking on your site you need not take any action at this time. In the coming months your account executive will be in touch with you or your advertising agency to work on the transition from “pixels” to “tags.” You’ll see training documentation on how to set up Google Tag Manager for your OvationTix pages published soon.
Like all OvationTix enhancements, the move to Google Tag Manager comes at no additional cost to OvationTix partners. So if you are interested in learning more about how to track behavior and optimize your site for purchases, donations and more, please do not hesitate to contact your account executive for more information.
